How much does a WordPress website cost? An honest cost breakdown

How much does a WordPress website cost? An honest cost breakdown

“How much does a website cost?” is like asking “how much does a car cost?”. The difference is not the engine itself but what exactly you get and what it will cost you a year from now. Here is an honest breakdown with the figures I actually use.

Price ranges — the starting point

Website type Net price (from) Best for
Landing page (1 section / 1 page) PLN 1,500 campaigns, a single service, testing an idea
Business website (5 pages) PLN 3,500 service companies, specialists, B2B
Additional page PLN 250 extending an existing layout
Language version (EN or other) PLN 600 international clients
Contact form + e-mail PLN 200 anti-spam and notifications

Current prices are always in the pricing. These are “from” prices — the final scope is matched to your budget after a short call.

What really increases the cost?

  • Custom design instead of a template — costs more upfront, usually pays back in conversion.
  • Number of unique layouts — five pages in one layout take less work than five different ones.
  • Integrations — booking calendar, CRM, payments, newsletter, GA4 and Search Console.
  • Content — copywriting, photos and translations created from scratch.
  • Migration — moving content and 301 redirects so you keep your Google rankings.

What you should never cut

Speed and code quality — a slow site loses clients before it loads; my builds aim for PageSpeed 90+ on mobile. Technical SEO from day one — headings, meta tags, structured data, sitemap and hreflang. Easy editing — if every text change needs a developer, the site ages quickly.

Costs after launch

  • Hosting and domain — from a few hundred PLN a year.
  • Updates and backups — WordPress and plugins need care.
  • Growth — new pages, SEO blog posts, campaigns.

How you pay

Larger projects are split into two 50/50 stages: strategy and design first, implementation second. Invoices are issued via Useme and you pay for a concrete, accepted result.
